Pour a little sugar on me, honey! The hardware specifications arms race shows no signs of slowing down. Meizu MX4 Pro is a 2K display smartphone with some ridiculously wild ambitions.
It comes with a powerful new 20nm A15 octa-core processor, mTouch fingerprint scanner with a display that is called 2K+ with a resolution of 2560 x 1536 on a 5.5-inch screen. This is good enough for a 546 PPI pixel density.
The battery is a rather enterprising at 3350 mAh, and RAM comes in at 3GB.
You get a 20 megapixel shooter on the back, with a 5 megapixel option on the front. Internal storage capacities come in at either 16, 32 or 64 GB. And the device is on track to be available in China starting December 6 at CN¥2,499, which translates to $410.
But all these are not the most notable features of the MX4 Pro.
Meizu is touting “Retina Sound”, probably referring to the quality speakers that this Android powered smartphone houses. The ES9018 DAC audio processor offers a dynamic range of up to 123db, and comes with a passive filter that removes background electrical noise. Quality stuff.
The Apple allusions don’t stop with Retina, though.
As you can see from the images above, the Meizu MX4 Pro features a design that looks an awful look like the latest iPhone from the fruity company.
